Description
The MCL quill handle extension is recommended if any close-fit cutter guard has been fitted to a vertical milling machine. The extension moves the existing handle away from the machine by an additional 80mm so that when you pull the handle down it clears the top of the close-fit cutter’s curved screen.
Both ends of the extension are machined to match the existing OEM fittings. The extension is fastened to the machine by push fit and a grub screw. The handle end is machined to allow full rotation and repositioning of the handle by depressing the central handle release as normal.
We manufacture two quill handle extensions as standard – metric and imperial. Part number 24639c is the imperial extension (Bridgeport type) and there is also a metric equivalent available from stock, part number 25625c.
