Description

Steel safety guards for lathes with large to medium-sized chucks. The guards have two hinged sections and are complete with two micro switches. The first hinged section is at the front and is ideal for inspection and re-positioning of the work piece when the chuck is not rotating. The second hinged section is at the rear and allows the whole guard to be tilted back away from the chuck. This guard also provides coverage of the rear of the chuck, giving greater protection from ejection hazards and helping to contain coolant. The integral micro switches ensure that both parts of the guard must be in place before machine start-up.

Due to the robust manufacture and double-hinged sections, this model is also ideal for use on boring machines.
